If you’re a photographer, your website has one job: make your work look unreal, with as little friction as possible. Not “tell your story”. Not “build your brand ecosystem”.

Wix Harmony is a new editor from Wix that released in January 2026, empowering website cowners with a suite of new AI tools. If you’re used to the classic Wix Editor or Wix Studio, the big shift is this: Harmony is trying to make it quicker to get to a clean, professional looking design without forcing you into a rigid template or an AI-generated site you can’t properly tweak. 

If you’ve ever tried updating a website where everything is “just typed into the page”, you’ll know the pain. One product gets renamed? Now you’re hunting through 17 pages. You want to show the same info in a grid, a list, and a “featured” block? Good luck copying and pasting without breaking something. You want a filter, a search bar, a sortable table, or a members-only area? Suddenly your “simple” site becomes a mess.

If you’re choosing between Wix and Squarespace, ease of use is usually the deciding factor. Understandably, most people don’t want to use a platform they have to learn. They want to get a good-looking website live, make updates without breaking anything, and not feel like they need a designer on standby.

There’s a myth that still floats around the internet that Wix websites all look the same. This is usually said by someone who’s either used Wix once in 2014, clicked a template, changed a couple of colours, and called it custom. The reality in 2026 is very different.

If people can’t find what they need on your Wix site in the first few seconds, they won’t “look harder”. They’ll leave. And when they leave quickly, you don’t just lose enquiries, you also send Google a pretty strong signal that your page didn’t match what the user wanted.

People land on a page thinking of one thing: “Is this for me, and will it help?” So what they want to read is whatever answers that quickly, clearly, and without making them work for it.

There’s a weird thing in the web world where Wix SEO myths just… refuse to die. Some are leftovers from 10+ years ago when Wix was a bit clunky. Some are pushed by people selling WordPress builds. And some are just classic “my mate said” SEO nonsense.

Google doesn’t rank “a website”. It ranks pages. And it works out which pages matter by looking at your structure (navigation + internal links + page hierarchy) and how clearly each page targets a topic.
