Wix Leader Joe Bennett is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of The Wix Guys, a Wix-specialist web design and SEO agency with offices in Maidstone, Kent and Carlisle, Cumbria. He has worked in digital marketing since 2018, co-founding JK Online, managing paid social at Clockwork Moggy and later running his own lead generation agencies, specialising in SEO, Meta Ads and Google Ads, before starting The Wix Guys with Karl in 2025. In 2026 Wix named Joe in its first class of Wix Leaders, one of 19 worldwide and one of 3 in the UK, alongside his business partner Karl Cowell. Joe holds a degree in Psychology, specialising in Organisational Psychology, hosts the weekly Wix Fix Live session with HelpBnk, and looks after The Wix Guys' northern office from the Lake District.

In Joe's words
I'm Joe Bennett, Co-Founder and Managing Director at The Wix Guys. That's a fancy way of saying I make everything run smoothly across the business, while making sure we put out stunning websites and keep our customers happy. I've run several digital marketing agencies and spent those years learning what makes an agency a success. I was born in Kent, moved up to the Lake District and now look after our northern office.
Experience and background
One of my first jobs was marketing for a nightclub, and I've been hooked on marketing ever since. Before that I worked in customer service and software testing, which taught me a lot about keeping people happy and making sure things actually work before they go live. The last 8 years have involved running agencies, specialising in SEO, Meta Ads and Google Ads.
The first of those agencies was a web design agency that only did Wix websites, and now it's gone full circle and I'm back here again!
Outside of hands-on experience, I'm a sucker for knowledge. I've lost count of how many marketing and business books I've read and how many podcasts I've listened to. Marketing moves fast, so if you're not forever learning, you get left behind.
I've also got a degree in Psychology, specialising in Organisational Psychology in my final year. It comes in handy more often than you'd think, from how a team works together to why a visitor does or doesn't click the button.
In 2026, Karl and I were named in the first class of Wix Leaders, one of only three in the UK.

The Wix guys did a redesign of our website for us and added an eCommerce section. Joe was fantastic, everything was clear and the process was good. This is what real service looks like. Our business needs full-funnel management to allow for our message to be shared. Every child a reader. Our aim of pupil recruitment and franchise recruitment requires us to be visible at a national and a granularly local level. Our Wordpress site was outdated and needed some pizazz. Karl and Joe went very deep and understood what our brand guidelines are and how that should be reflected online. Of course, the ‘front’ of any website is all well and good but the real magic happens with integrations, CTA’s, and full-funnel measurement. That happened. Karl and Joe are always on hand, and frankly, they feel like our extended marketing department rather than a supplier. Highly recommended.
