The brief
A designer, not a maintenance company
Simon Bunney designs gardens and planting schemes around Castle Donington, Leicestershire, using 3D renders and planting plans. Maintenance is only an add-on for design clients. He needed a lead-generation website ready for local print advertising he had already booked. Our first design direction came back too complex and leaned too heavily on maintenance, down to lawn-mowing imagery, which is not the business he wants to be known for. Simon wanted something closer to a site he admired: simple, minimal scrolling, with vibrant images carrying the story. All his photography is landscape, his logo carries a lot of black, and he wanted no greyed-out images, borders or shading.
The build
Let the gardens do the talking
We went back to his brief and built an eight-page Wix Studio site on an off-white palette, image-led throughout. The homepage hero runs three images in sequence, from design render to planting to finished garden, so a visitor sees the whole journey in seconds. Service pages pair 3D renders with short descriptions, using his wide landscape photography and parallax heroes. A Wix CMS collection powers the projects area so Simon adds his own work, and a single contact form is the one conversion point. Behind the scenes we bought both the .co.uk and .com domains and set up professional email. See our Wix website packages for similar builds.

Simple, image-led, and built around the design work
Eight pages in his order
Home, About Me, The Design Process, The Planting Process, Projects, Pricing, Garden Maintenance and Contact. Maintenance sits where it belongs, as a supporting page, rather than leading the site and confusing what the business is.
A palette that feels natural
Off-white and light grey rather than clinical white, with the logo's black, white and muted green plus a lighter green accent. No black menu bar, no greyed-out images, no borders or shading, and the logo repeated as he wanted.
A homepage showing the journey
The hero runs design render, planting and finished garden in sequence. The page then scrolls through About Me, Design Process, Planting Process, Portfolio, Pricing and Contact, with staggered text and image blocks on the service pages.
A portfolio Simon controls
A Wix CMS collection powers the projects area, so Simon adds his own work with minimal text. Each project supports up to around 50 images, with smooth scrolling and before-to-completion sequences.
Contact, not booking
A single contact form, styled on one he liked elsewhere, with the get in touch box in his logo green. There is no booking system by choice, because Simon prefers to follow up every enquiry by phone.
The outcome
Simon has a clean, image-led Wix Studio site that positions him as a garden designer first, ready to back up his local advertising in Castle Donington and the surrounding area. He adds new projects to his portfolio himself, and every enquiry comes through one simple form straight to him. In his words, he is over the moon with the results.

Joe and Emma at The Wix Guys were just great to work with in building a site for my new business. They listened to my initial thoughts, and came up with great ideas and solutions for how the site would work and feel for potential customers, and I'm over the moon with the results. Can't recommend them enough!
