A Wix Editor rebuild with a proper mega menu and category structure, so browsing and managing products is easy.
The brief
A store that had outgrown its own menu
TopDec is a decorating supplies retailer based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, selling a huge range of products, brands and categories through their online store. TopDec wanted to stay on Wix Editor. Their existing store was working and bringing in good money, but it had grown messy and needed a proper rebuild.
Their menu couldn't handle the huge range of products, brands and categories, so customers were scrolling endlessly to find anything. On top of that, products had been built onto individual pages rather than category pages, which made uploading slow and awkward. They needed a store that was easier to navigate, easier to manage, and more professional overall.
What we did
A mega menu and a proper rebuild
Rebuilt the store on Wix Editor
TopDec's site was working and bringing in good money, so we kept them on the Wix Editor platform they knew, and rebuilt the store to fix the issues holding it back while giving it a more professional look and feel.
Recreated the navigation as a mega menu
With the sheer number of products, brands and categories they carry, their old menu couldn't cope and customers were scrolling forever to find anything. We rebuilt the navigation as a proper mega menu so shoppers can jump straight to what they want.
Re-categorised the entire catalogue
They'd been building products onto individual pages rather than using category pages, which made uploading slow and awkward. We restructured everything around proper category pages, so adding and managing products is far easier for the team going forward.
Lifted the overall design
We reworked the hero section, headers and footers and tidied the general aesthetic, so the whole store looks noticeably more professional and does the range justice.
THE OUTCOME
TopDec's store now has a mega menu and proper category structure in place, replacing the endless scrolling and awkward product uploads of the old site.
