The brief
A shop you couldn't shop
Programme Vault sells collectable football programmes worldwide, to collectors, gift buyers and a core audience of men over 30. The store made finding anything hard work. Navigation was a long scroll list rather than a way to find a team, the sidebar categories were cluttered, and the sort order had broken so products sorted alphabetically by month. Each product showed a single image, which matters for collectables where condition is the buying decision. Reviews earned on Google and Trustpilot appeared nowhere on the site, and the SEO basics were missing. The ask was simple: make products visible and findable immediately, so browsers become buyers.
The build
Find your team, see the condition, buy
We rebuilt the Programme Vault store in Wix Studio around how collectors actually shop. A team-based search and dropdown replaced the long scroll list. We cleaned up the sidebar, restructured the categories and fixed the broken sort order. A second-image hover reveals the condition shot on the listing page, and a scrollable category section on the homepage puts stock in front of visitors straight away. Four and five star Google and Trustpilot reviews now run on the homepage. We set up meta titles, descriptions, alt text and accessibility, then duplicated the site and switched over at the end, so there was no downtime. More on our ecommerce website design work.

Rebuilt around how collectors actually shop
Team search replaced the scroll
A team-based search and dropdown now sits where a long scroll list used to be, so a collector looking for one club gets there immediately rather than scrolling and scanning.
Fixed categories and the sort
We de-cluttered the sidebar, restructured the category system and fixed the broken sort order that had been listing products alphabetically by month, so stock appears in a sensible order again.
Condition visible without a click
Hovering a product reveals a second image, the close-up condition shot, so buyers judge condition from the listing page. Two photos per product, front and condition detail, is now part of how stock gets loaded.
Filters built on collector logic
Filters cover Scottish, rest of the world and international teams, cup competitions, testimonial matches, signed programmes, programmes with a ticket and friendlies. League sections were left out on purpose, as they would need redoing every season.
Reviews, SEO and clean switchover
Google and Trustpilot reviews now run on the homepage, with meta titles, descriptions, alt text and accessibility in place. We built on a duplicate and switched at the end, so the shop never went offline.
The outcome
Programme Vault went live on 2 September after a formal QA pass. Collectors can now find their team, judge condition from the listing and check out without hunting, and the reviews customers had already earned finally work for the shop. Owner Michael Terry said the site was professional, easy to use and in line with his budget.
