The brief
A cafe and activity centre with a bigger purpose
Kenward Place is the commercial arm of Kenward Trust, a charity in Yalding, Kent that supports people with drug and alcohol addiction. Kenward Place is the forward-facing side: a cafe and activity centre running things like alpaca walking, archery and disc golf. They needed a website that could take bookings properly and run events, with payments taken in advance. They also had new branding to roll out, and the team wanted a platform they could manage themselves day to day rather than relying on someone else every time an event changed.
The build
Bookings, events and payments, all in one place
We built Kenward Place a Wix Editor website around their new branding, with Wix Bookings and Wix Events doing the heavy lifting. Visitors can book activities like alpaca walking, archery and disc golf, and pay in advance before they arrive. The site also includes a store, a members area, a blog and forms, so the cafe and activity centre can sell, share news and handle enquiries from one dashboard. Booking systems a charity team can run themselves
Built bookings and events systems
We set up proper booking and events systems so customers can book activities like alpaca walking, archery and disc golf online, and see upcoming events at a glance, without phoning the team.
Added advance payments
We set up advance payments so customers pay when they book. It saves staff chasing payments on the day, which matters for a small team running a busy cafe and activity centre.
Rolled out the new branding
We implemented Kenward Place's new branding across the whole site, giving the cafe and activity centre a consistent, professional look that sits comfortably alongside the wider Kenward Trust.
Trained the team
We trained the Kenward Place team on Wix so they can manage bookings, events and content themselves after handover, keeping control in-house and costs down.

The outcome
Kenward Place now has a fully branded Wix Editor site live, with bookings, events and advance payments in place for its cafe and activity centre. Customers can book and pay online in a few clicks, and a trained team manages it all themselves, leaving staff free to focus on the people who visit.
