If you’re a photographer, your website has one job: make your work look unreal, with as little friction as possible. Not “tell your story”. Not “build your brand ecosystem”.

Not every website needs to be a brand. Sometimes you just want a clean, good looking place online for your thing, be it a photography side project, a football blog or a small Etsy style shop. It could even be a local history archive. A band page. A D&D campaign hub. A portfolio that doesn’t cost a fortune. A charity fundraiser. A newsletter landing page. All of these are exactly where Wix shines.

Let’s be honest: most people will see your website on a phone first. Not sometimes, most of the time. So if your site looks brilliant on a laptop but turns into a squashed mess on mobile, you’re basically paying to lose enquiries.

Wix Harmony is Wix’s newest editor, built around a hybrid way of creating sites: you can vibe code (prompt-based building) and then jump straight into proper drag-and-drop control to fine tune things.

If you’ve ever tried updating a website where everything is “just typed into the page”, you’ll know the pain. One product gets renamed? Now you’re hunting through 17 pages. You want to show the same info in a grid, a list, and a “featured” block? Good luck copying and pasting without breaking something. You want a filter, a search bar, a sortable table, or a members-only area? Suddenly your “simple” site becomes a mess.

Google doesn’t rank “a website”. It ranks pages. And it works out which pages matter by looking at your structure (navigation + internal links + page hierarchy) and how clearly each page targets a topic.
